Registration for this schedule starts on 11/09/2024 and ends on 02/14/2025
Participants must be 4 years and 5 months to 7 years and 1 month old when the program starts.
9AM-12PM: Brain Booster is the ideal program for rising kindergarteners and first graders with active and curious minds! Led by Inventor Academy teachers, each session begins with mindfulness and getting to know each through conversation prompts and share-alouds, followed by fun math games, interactive story time, arts and crafts, and exciting STEM projects, including hands-on science experiments and our much-loved Lego builds!
12-1PM: Free build and (BYO) lunch
1-4PM: The STEM Explorers program is designed for students 4.6y to 6.6y years old and will focus on introducing key concepts of engineering, mechanics, and natural science in a fun, hands-on way. Each day of the 5-day program will revolve around a centralized theme, such as dinosaurs, weather, oceanography, or space exploration. Throughout each of the 5 days, students will participate in some combination of Lego building models that represent the topic being learned that day, experiments, crafts, and games that extend and reinforce their understanding of and interest in the topic. Students will work both independently and together while testing the limits of their knowledge throughout this fun-filled week!
*PREREQUISITES: Students should have a basic understanding of mathematical concepts related to quantity, counting, space, and time.
