9AM-12PM: In Junior Engineers, students are introduced to fundamental mechanics and robotics concepts and simple programming, working both independently and in small groups in a fun and supportive environment with experienced instructors.
This week-long program provides students with opportunities to build and test mechanical models and robots and begin collaborating to come up with their innovative and creative solutions to challenges. Throughout each session, instructors pose open-ended questions to stimulate critical thinking and creativity, facilitate discussion, and provide support for group problem-solving. This fun-packed week allows students to get comfortable experimenting and problem-solving in a safe and supportive learning environment. ***NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE with robotics or programming is necessary.
12-1PM: Free build and (BYO) lunch
1-4PM: In Lego and Robotics: Out of This World, students will develop their skills by light years! This fun-packed week will be full of LEGO building and robots, as students are tasked with building up to 2 models each day, all of which revolve around a central theme: outer space! This is perfect for Star Wars-lovers, future astronauts, and kids who love pushing themselves outside of their comfort zone to create something amazing! No programming or coding experience is necessary, but it is recommended that students are familiar with LEGO building.
